The Grand River Historical Society Museum is pleased to announce that it
is now enhancing your Museum visit with a cell phone tour. To use the
cell phone tour, dial 660-240-3001 and follow the instructions. We have
made the "numbered stops" to look like slices of bread since Chillicothe is
the Home of Sliced Bread! You may either follow them arithmetically
- 1, 2, 3 etc. - or find an exhibit you want to learn more about and begin.
You can also tune in to the tour from your home! Just dial the telephone number
and listen in.
The tour begins with
"A Point In Time," the Native American exhibit to the right of the main door
(pictured above) and then continues on through the museum. The tour is free, and there will be no charge to your cell phone.
If you have a suggestion for an addition to the tour, please give that
information to one of our docents (volunteers) for Board review as we intend to
expand the tour as new exhibits are added!
phone tour is made possible by a grant from the Missouri Humanities Council and with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
